    Dr. Motsei is an indigenous midwife, healer, activist, and mystic from Johannesburg, South Africa. She is the founder of Afrika Kalafe Pluriversity.

  • Angelina Martínez Miranda (Keynote)

    Doña Lina is a traditional midwife and speaker from Cuernavaca, Mexico. She has attended over 15,000 births largely out of her home, and she apprentices 23 births per month, on average.

  • Betty-Anne Daviss, RM, BJ, MA

    Ms. Daviss is a multi-national midwife, researcher, author, and professor of midwifery hailing from Ontario, Canada. Ms. Daviss is actively attending in-hospital births and publishing various papers and studies on vaginal breech birth.

  • Gail Tully, CPM

    Ms. Tully is a home birth midwife, Founder of Spinning Babies, and author of a variety of pregnancy-related resources and courses. She hails from Minneapolis, MN.

  • Nicole Morales, CPM

    Ms. Morales is a home birth midwife from San Diego, CA. She is also a Spinning Babies instructor and author. Ms. Morales embraces the power of storytelling in guiding her clients and students.

  • Kristine Lauria, CPM

    Ms. Lauria is an international midwife, and she’s an instructor for Breech Without Borders. She also works as a midwife for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), which has provided her with the unique privilege of attending and teaching vaginal breech and multiples.

  • Rixa Freeze, PhD

    Dr. Freeze is one of the most prolific living researchers, authors, and instructors on the topic of vaginal breech birth. She is the founder and president of Breech Without Borders.

  • Tracey Vogel, MD

    Dr. Vogel is an obstetric anesthesiologist. She is the executive director of The Empowerment Equation, a trauma-informed prenatal practice in Pittsburgh, PA.

  • Carol Gautschi, CPM, LM

    Ms. Gatuschi is the longest continuously practicing home-birth midwife on the Olympic Peninsula. She has been a birth attendant for more than 25 years and has attended hundreds of births for families in her community and abroad.

  • David Hayes, MD

    Dr. Hayes is a home birth obstetrician with international experience as an instructor and physician. He is also an instructor for Breech Without Borders.

  • Stu Fischbein, MD

    Dr. Fischbein is a vaginal breech and twins educator and (sort of) retired home birth obstetrician. He has a podcast called Birthing Instincts, co-hosted with Blyss Young, CPM.

  • Hermine Hayes-Klein, JD

    Hermine is an attorney specializing in human rights in childbirth. She represents both birthing families and birthworkers in a myriad of ways within the legal system, with informed consent as her guide.
